Fashion & Tech Notables Headed to Decoded Fashion

Posted on April 25, 2012 by Lorraine Sanders in Digital Style News, Events No Comments

With Tumblr’s David Karp, Aliza Licht of DKNY PR Girl fame, Nicole Miller, Stylecaster’s Ari Goldberg and Kate Spade’s Deborah Lloyd on its original speaker line-up, it was pretty much a certainty that anyone, especially anyone in New York, even remotely interested in the intersection of fashion and technology would be clamoring to attend Decoded Fashion, which takes over the Lincoln Center on April 30.

But add to that today’s news that Calvin Klein Chief Creative Officer Melisa Goldie will join their ranks as the fashion keynote, and you know you’re looking at an event that packs the promise of serious fashion and technology cred. Too often, events sway heavily to one side or the other. That the inaugural meeting of what will most likely become more than a one-off event boasts a healthy number of names drawn from the upper echelons of both the fashion and technology landscapes only, I think, speaks to the heightened interest in the combined space today – and the enthusiasm from both sides of the fence for finding new ways to collaborate, interact and grow companies that embrace both.

When this post went live, there were but 95 tickets left to Monday’s event.
