For proof that fashion and technology are overlapping more than ever before, take notice of this week’s Inside Generation Style, a spring fashion event featuring personal style bloggers showcasing Intel’s Ultrabook along side the season’s looks from Norma Kamali and Orla Kiely.
Put on by Jennine Jacob’s Independent Fashion Bloggers group (which also hosts a killer blogging conference before each New York Fashion Week), the night stands out for connecting a traditional technology company with brands and style bloggers, many of whom are the first to embrace new tech tools and services to improve their content and grow their audiences. It’s also a savvy choice of brands for a switched-on, social media-obsessed audience: after all, can you think of anything more “pinnable” than an Orla Kiely print?
Among the bloggers you’ll spot on the runway: Laura Ellner of OntheRacks, Jenni Radosevich of I Spy DIY, Fashion Indie‘s Samantha Lim and Christina Topacio of ProfeshStyle.
If you’re in NYC, and you’d like to attend, email rsvp@ifb.com. Those elsewhere can watch the runway show live via the Intel Facebook page.
