Fashion tech industry events don’t seem to be as abundant as they once were in San Francisco, though maybe it’s just the lull of summer that’s making me think that. But that all changes this week with the arrival of FashTech July.
Taking place Wednesday night, the event is actually part of a multi-city event series (the next one is slated for New York during Fashion Week in September).
The topic is Founders Meet Funders and is designed to offer startup founders and fund-seekers to peg those on the other side of the investment game with their questions. The panel includes local fashion tech podcast producer and stylist Jill Siefert and Andy Pandharikar, whose former company Fitiquette (bought by Myntra) was one that caught my eye back in the early days of my San Francisco Chronicle Style Bytes column (that’s no more with the recent section redesign, but then, I’m on hiatus from writing these days, well almost entirely, except for this).
I’ll be at the event, not covering it, but this time behind the demo table with ModaVive, where I’ve recently signed on full-time.
